Hey Gang,

Gettin' geared up for  our annual Thanksgivin' Back party at the Elks on Weds. the 23rd. It's always so much fun and all the old friends seem to come out of the wood work and have a blast while raising money for a great cause!   It's hard to believe We started this as "Lend a Foot" three years ago to raise money for our percussionist, Gary Miller, after he had his legs amputated. We raised a bunch of money to help pay for his ramp, and other adaptions that he needed to get through this.    Well, the party was a huge success, we raised some money but most of all we got together to show love & support and to make sure he knew that he wasn't alone during a scary time. Now when you see Gary walk on his prosthetics you forget that he doesn't have legs. He works full time in the school system, and he just keeps getting better as a performer. The Man's got strengh - Gary we're way proud of you!

    Right around that time, I reluctantly got to view first hand, the incredible work that "Hospice of Lancaster County" does, when I lost my Grandmother, and then my Pop. They make a tough time bearable, while giving both patients, and their families the help and strength they need get through death. They have a wonderful facility on Good Dr. and they also come into your house and help you take care of your people. They are staffed by a group of Angels!  I'm grateful to be able to throw this fund raising party to give back a little bit for all the great work that they do for so many.

 Blue Light Special featuring Jimmy Phipps on vocals and blues harp and the fabulous Rose Hudson on vocals will be kicking the party off at 9:00pm. We'll take over keep the party going into the late night and maybe get a chance to have both bands jam together too. tickets are $10 in advance -$12 at the door, and are available at Valentino's Cafe' 128 Rider Ave. & the Alley Kat 30 W. Lemon St. (cash bar - food available)

   Oh yea, Please come out to Lancaster's Historic Blue Star on  Fri. 12/2 It will be our  first time back in a few years, It's just not as much fun when you're not there, can you make it??
